Laura Fitton

This work is something that immediately stood out to me on the padlet and I really enjoyed looking through Fitton's website portfolio. I really love the fluidity of it and can imagine her drawing in these locations, immersed by the colours and sounds that she manages to translate to a flat piece of paper. The result is art that is vivid and living, as though you can tell it comes from the real world. I would love to be able to draw observationally like this, which I guess comes with practice. There is an allowance with this formate for mistakes and error to be overlooked with everything overlapping and intertwined. I particularly love the colours of the two pieces on the right and the difference in how compact and sparse the art is across all four pieces with varying use of the blank spaces.
