How has my research fed into my work?

My research into the essay and larger surrounding debate in regards to the philosophy of the mind has helped my try to extract what the public might better be able to understand. I knew that removing parts of the text would be difficult but it was harder than I anticipated. These kinds of texts are just so dense it's really difficult to filter it down without losing the chain of analysis that explains the logic. During my studies for Philosophy Higher IB I studied Descartes meditations and I cannot image doing a similar task with that text, though it is longer, it is more complex and every word is precisely chosen.

What is going well and what isn’t going so well and why?

The premise works and is going well I think its and interesting format. Particularly there is such a strong link maintained between the essay and the art that I don't want to lose. However the essay is rather too long at 16 pages the thought of illustrating all these margins seems tedious. I also think it would very much be a case of diminishing returns as people would be unlikely to read the whole thing even after I had redacted so much. This means I might have to choose some specific pages instead of the whole essay but make sure that those pages can be read independently.

What will I do differently in future? What will I develop in future?

in the future I would absolutely print on better paper, I wish that I had changed this sooner as it is the reason I don't like the outcome of this work. the paper feels coated and extremely smooth meaning it holds no water or ink and warps immediately. I also wish that I had been a little freer with strange mark-making on the page and filling the blank margins, I think that could've produced an interesting outcome.
